David Anstaett has been an active participant in multiple aspects of the writing community for 50 years. He taught Creative Writing on the elementary, high school, college and community level as well as acting as the managing editor for Mid-America Poetry Review for 25 years.
David was a master teacher at the Young Peoples Institute for ten summers, taught a minimum of 50 writing workshops for aspiring writers of all levels, edited Missouri’s Youth Writes and was awarded the Missouri Arts Council award for a lifetime achievement in the arts.
David has encouraged writers from every possible age level to make writing their passion and, since his retirement from public education, continued to assist writers as they pursue the world of publishing. He is editing two poets and two novelists at this time and working diligently on his own writing.
